It is much more diffuse than just looking at one day in the calendar. I hope I’m not disagreeing with the Book Of Changes on that one! We did celebrate on May 1st and it was good for us as it was also the first day we had seen the moon in a while (and it was a nice shiny waxing half-moon). It was visible while we got fired up, until the smoke enveloped us for a time!

Looks good, did you cook something on there? Ours was a much smaller affair – bigger flames perhaps but no photos to prove it
